The Northern Berkshire Astronomical Society believes that astronomy belongs to everyone. Since our founding in 2023, we’ve delivered over a dozen public talks and hosted public observing events across the region β€” bringing telescopes, expertise, and enthusiasm to libraries, community gatherings, and schools.

If your organization is looking for a speaker, a public observing session, a star party, or a classroom visit, we’d love to hear from you.

What We Do

  • Public Talks β€” presentations on a wide range of astronomy topics, open to all
  • Public Observing β€” telescopes out, skies open, everyone welcome
  • Star Parties β€” dedicated dark-sky evenings for groups and organizations
  • School & Classroom Visits β€” bringing astronomy to students at all grade levels

Our Track Record

Since 2023, NBAS has delivered 12+ public talks at libraries, community centers, and civic organizations, and hosted public observing events at dark-sky sites across the Northern Berkshires. All events are free to attend.
